We prefer to use the term ‘ OneNote desktop’ or ‘ OneNote for Windows desktop’. It’s asking for more confusion and misunderstanding. It is available for macOS, Android, iOS, and in the cloud. Personally, I migrated away from OneNote for Office to the native Windows 10 app some time ago, and never looked back-in part because my beloved audio-syncing feature would stop working unexpectedly, and that’s bad news for a reporter. What this means: Though Microsoft has invested millions of dollars in its Office 365 apps, there’s a few basic, native apps within Windows 10 that reproduce most of the functionality that an average user needs: Mail, for example, can work just as well as Outlook in some situations.
